In 1999 I was thirteen years old and obsessed with Pokemon. So I did what
any computer-savvy young person at the turn of the millenium would have done: I opened a website. My dad taught me some basic
HTML, and off I went. I gathered loads of images, me and my brother Steven drew some pictures (his good, mine not so much) and
off I went. It was called Pokemon Heart, and by 2000 it was probably the most appalling thing on the Internet.
Anyway. I hosted it on Crosswinds, which was great in all respects except that its server was down rather a lot. (Or it seemed that way to the thirteen-year-old me.)
So my dad eventually bought me a domain name, the one you see before you: heartstars.net. (Thank you, Dad.) It's been through many redesigns. It sort of grows up along with me, I reckon.
